Love of Reading Week
2,900! That’s the number of books MWFB-supported preschools that read to children during Love of Reading Challenge (February 13-17). Congratulations to the 116 classrooms at 31 sites that celebrated reading by participating in the annual MWFB challenge! These childcare providers read at least five books a day to their children for five days straight!
All participating classrooms received a set of watercolors or a special book for their libraries. Five classrooms in the grand-prize drawing received new board or paperback books for the children to take home.
Next up: Love of Reading Week
Once again, childcare providers will be challenged to read five books a day to children for one week. Look for entry forms in your mailbox next fall, and be sure to participate. Classrooms meeting the challenge will receive special prizes and certificates.
